Between Friends, the indie-pop duo of siblings Brandon and Savannah Hudson, has dropped a new track, as well as a music video to accompany it. Following April’s “Bruse,” the brand-new “Redlight” is a chillwave single reflecting on the aftermath of breaking up with someone.
For the song, the duo teamed up with Teezo Touchdown, another rising force in the music industry. Last year, the rising Texas-born rapper began touring with Kali Uchis and Tyler, the Creator on the Call Me If You Get Lost Tour. He also has been putting out a few singles of his own over the past few months, most recently, one called “Familiarity.”
“I know that you stopped by today / Checked my cam and seen your face,” Savannah sings on the track. “I know you have a lot to say but popping up is not ok / all the pieces that I left just box them up I’ll come collect.”
Touchdown joins in with his own gravelly verses, a perfect accompaniment to Savannah’s vocals and the duo’s rock-style guitar.
