Best New Tracks: Pusha T, ScHoolboy Q, Jack Harlow and More

As the week in music comes to a close, HYPEBEAST has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s list is led by releases from Jack Harlow, ScHoolboy Q and Pusha T x JAY-Z x Pharrell, who released the singles “First Class,” “Soccer Dad” and “Neck & Wrist,” respectively. Also joining this selection are offerings from Vince Staples, Yung Lean, J57 with Lil B, IDK, Aundrey Guillaume, EARTHGANG x Future and Fousheé.

Pusha T x JAY-Z x Pharrell – “Neck & Wrist”

Pusha T joins forces with JAY-Z and Pharrell for “Neck & Wrist.” Produced by Pharrell, the cut follows the Ye-produced “Diet Coke” and arrives as King Push finally announced the title of his highly-anticipated DAYTONA followup: It’s Almost Dry.

Jack Harlow – “First Class”

After teasing his newest single on social media last week, Jack Harlow’s latest track “First Class” is here. Produced by BabeTruth, Charlie Handsome, Jasper Harris, Nickie Jon Pabón and Rogét Chahayed, the song hears Harlow hop on a sample of Fergie and Ludacris’ 2006 hit “Glamorous,” and is set to appear on his upcoming album Come Home the Kids Miss You.

ScHoolboy Q – “Soccer Dad”

ScHoolboy Q is back with his first solo single in three years, “Soccer Dad.” Produced by Fu, Skyehutch and TaeBeast, the track marks a new era following the TDE staple’s 2019 album CrasH Talk, however an announcement for the album followup is yet to be announced.

Vince Staples – Ramona Park Broke My Heart

Vince Staples delivers his second album in less than a year, Ramona Park Broke My Heart. The followup to July 2021’s Vince Staples, the 16-track record features guest appearances from Mustard, Lil Baby and Ty Dolla $ign. “There’s a direct correlation,” Staples says of his 2021 album and the forthcoming project. “They were kind of created at the same time. I was in a similar state of mind. I’m still working through things and the questions that life poses. This album will make even more sense if you heard the previous one.” There is a key change, though. “This one has more answers.”

Yung Lean – Stardust

Yung Lean returns to form in his newest mixtape, Stardust. The self-released 12-track project is out via his own label World Affairs, and features contributions from FKA twigs, Skrillex and Jack Donaghue from Salem, Whitearmor, Woesum and Ssaliva and Drain Gang’s own Bladee, Thaiboy Digital and Ecco2k. Lean is also set to hit the road this fall with a nine-date European leg and a six-date North American leg.

Fousheé – “double standard”

Fousheé drops her first solo single of 2022, entitled “double standard.” The track marks her first solo release since 2021’s time machine project, which featured guest appearances from Lil Yachty and Steve Lacy and was named one of HYPEBEAST’s Best Albums of 2021… So Far.

EARTHGANG x Future – “Billi”

EARTHGANG shares an accompanying music video for their Future-assisted track “Billi,” which appears on their latest studio album GHETTO GHODS. The visual is helmed by Chad Tennies and Mac Grant, and is the third installment in the pair’s GHETTO GODS film.

J57 x Lil B – “Homi Hilfiger”

J57 and Lil B come together on the hard-hitting cut “Homi Hilfiger,” set to appear on the former’s upcoming EP Death By Astral Projection. The producer, who is known to have worked with the likes of DJ Premier, Wu-Tang Clan, Rich the Kid, Atmosphere, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, Harry Fraud and Westside Gunn to name a few, will be dropping the project on April 19 and is his first vocal-solo project since November 2019’s We Can Be Kings.

IDK – “Taco”

IDK hops on the KAYTRANADA-produced “Taco” to kick off the warmer weather. The first single from his upcoming album, which drops this summer, fans can expect features from the likes of Young Thug, Slick Rick, Offset and more for his USEE4YOURSELF followup.

Aundrey Guillaume – “Refund”

Aundrey Guillaume announces his second EP Energy with his newest single, “Refund.” Labelled by the artist as a “self-awareness record,” he adds, “When making this record I wanted to talk about how as artists’ in the industry. We’re very influenced by the environment that we’re around. The record gives hope that one day as we continue to grow in life we’ll see those influences whether good or bad, and make our own decisions if we want to continue forward with them or not.”
