As the first week of 2023 in music comes to a close, HYPEBEAST has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

Popcaan x Drake – “We Caa Done”

OVO Sound signee and founder Popcaan and Drake reunite for the former’s new single, “We Caa Done.” This marks the pair’s third collaborative effort following “ALL I NEED” and “TWIST & TURN” with PARTYNEXTDOOR, and is expected to appear on the dancehall star’s upcoming album, Great Is He.

Quavo – “Without You”

Quavo pays homage to his nephew Takeoff in the emotional new track, “Without You.” The rapper is evidently still grieving over the loss of his family and fellow Migos/Unc & Phew member, narrating the pain that comes with Takeoff’s sudden death in November 2022.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again – I Rest My Case

NBA YoungBoy drops off his first project of 2023, I Rest My Case. The 19-track record features no guest appearances and includes the previously-released singles “Top Girls,” “Black” and “Groovy,” snd is released just two weeks after Lost Files, his 21-track mixtape and final release of 2022.

French Montana x DJ Drama – Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition

French Montana delivers the brand new Coke Boys mixtape Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition. The extensive 29-track project is billed as a Gangsta Grillz tape alongside DJ Drama and features guest appearances from A$AP Rocky, Benny The Butcher, Kodak Black, Jeremih, Max B, Vory, King Combs, NAV, EST Gee, Stove God Cook$, the late Chinx and more.

Logic – “Insipio”

Logic rings in his 2023 with the new track, “Inspio.” Clocking in at just under two minutes, the cut’s visual sees several Logics in his home studio, working and making beats while enjoying his downtime.

Fantastic Negrito – “Highest Bidder (Reimagined Acoustic Version)”

Fantastic Negrito shares a new version of his previously-released track “Highest Bidder.” The “reimagined acoustic version” arrives alongside the announcement of his upcoming album Grandfather Courage, which is set to drop on February 3. “If you want to take your mind, body and soul on a trip check out the reimagined recording of Highest Bidder through the lenses of my touring band,” he says of the song. “At the time, I was listening to a lot of African drum patterns, and that definitely influenced this song. I’m trying to convey what I see when I walk down the street here in Oakland.”

Skrillex x Fred again.. x Flowdan – “Rumble”

Erica Banks delivers her own take on Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin Down” with a brand new freestyle. 2022 saw the Texas artist share her 1501 Certified Entertainment project Diary Of The Flow Queen, which featured guest verses from Bankroll Freddie, DreamDoll and Beat King.
