As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s lineup is led by Playboi Carti, G-Dragon with Taeyang and Daesung and ROSÉ, who each released the tracks “PLAY THIS,” “HOME SWEET HOME” and “number one girl.” Also joining this selection are offerings from Jack Harlow, Boldy James with Harry Fraud, BigXThaPlug, Lola Brooke, Tems, Tyla and Everything Is Recorded with Laura Groves, Jah Wobble, Sampha and Yazz Ahmed.

Playboi Carti – ”PLAY THIS”

Playboi Carti stayed true to his word and dropped off his new track “PLAY THIS.” The song is currently only available to stream on one of his Instagram accounts, and arrives as he teases more work for his upcoming album I AM MUSIC.

G-Dragon x Taeyang x Daesung – “HOME SWEET HOME”

It’s a BigBang reunion as G-Dragon delivers his latest single “HOME SWEET HOME” with the help fellow groupmates Taeyang and Daesung. The mid-tempo offering hears the trio exploring pop-rock while delivering a message of reconnection and continuity.

ROSÉ – “number one girl”

BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ follows up her successful “APT.” single with Bruno Mars with “number one girl.” The track is a 180 from its predecessor, and hears her deliver an emotional cut over piano keys. Her upcoming debut solo studio album, rosie, is out December 6.

Jack Harlow – “Hello Miss Johnson”

Jack Harlow is back with “Hello Miss Johnson,” which features production work by his brother Clay Harlow and aksel arvid. Its accompanying music video is helmed by Yulya Shadrinsky and Marita Gurcciani, and is shot on CCTV cameras that narrate the courtship between the rapper and the daughter of Miss Johnson.

Tyla – “Tears”

Tyla unveils her latest track “Tears” in collaboration with Coke Studio. “My music is all about creating connections, sharing culture and influences from all over the world, and I know fans will feel that in ’Tears’. Boldy James and Harry Fraud’s highly-anticipated collaborative album The Bricktionary is here. The project is produced in its entirety by Fraud, and features guest appearances from Babyface Ray, Tee Grizzley, and Benny The Butcher.

Tems – “Turn Me Up”

Tems debuts the accompanying music video for her Born In The Wild cut, “Turn Me Up.” The visual is directed by Loris Russier and was shot in Jamaica to emphasize the track’s unique Caribbean-Afropop sound.

Everything Is Recorded x Sampha x Laura Groves x Jah Wobble x Yazz Ahmed – “Losing You”

Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded announces their third studio album Temporary, dropping February 28, 2025. The news arrives alongside the release of “Losing You,” which features Sampha, Laura Groves, Yazz Ahmed and Jah Wobble. Their upcoming album will also include collaborations with Bill Callahan, Noah Cyrus, Florence Welch, Maddy Prior, Berwyn, Alabaster Deplume, Kamasi Washington, Rickey Washington, Roses Gabor, Jack Peňate, Samantha Morton, Clari Freeman-Taylor and Nourished By Time.
