As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

Awaited albums from NxWorries and Don Toliver lead this week’s list, with other long-form deliveries from LUCKI, $UICIDEBOY$, skaiwater and Normani. Khalid unveiled his “Adore U” single alongside tracks from TOKiMONSTA x Cakes da Killa x GAWD, Remi Wolf and Destroy Lonely.

NxWorries – Why Lawd?

After physically unveiling their long-awaited follow-up to cult-classic debut album Yes Lawd! last Friday, NxWorries’ Why Lawd? has landed on all digital streaming platforms. Led by singles “Where I Go” with H.E.R., “Daydreaming,” “86Sentra,” “Fromhere” with Snoop Dogg and October London, and most recently “WalkOnBy” with Earl Sweatshirt and Rae Khalil, Why Lawd? picks up right where its predecessor left off. Offering a varied range of crisply produced tracks, Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge prove they’ve still got it eight years later.

Don Toliver – Hardstone Psycho

Don Toliver has lifted the iron-clad curtain on his Hardstone Psycho. Marking the Cactus Jack rapper’s fourth studio album, Hardstone Psycho is an impressive, leather-ladden 16-track effort split into four disks. A slick Donny T presentation, features from Travis Scott, Future, Teezo Touchdown and Kodak Black elevate the high-octane offering.

LUCKI – GEMINI!

With Gemini season in full swing, LUCKI is embracing his duality on his latest studio LP. The aptly entitled GEMINI! – the Chicago rapper’s fourth studio project – sees features from Lil Yachty, Veeze, 42 Dugg, Rylo Rodriguez and Future and comes fronted by an album cover that showcases the portraits of a handful of famous Geminis.

TOKiMONSTA x Cakes da Killa x GAWD – “Switch It”

A few days after announcing her tour, TOKiMONSTA is back with news of a forthcoming full-length album – led by a new single dubbed “Switch It.” A masterful melding of hip-hop and house, the bouncy track comes equipped with contributions from Cakes da Killa and GAWD.

$uicideboy$ – New World Depression

$uicideboy$ surprised fans when they announced the now out-everywhere New World Depression LP. Rounding out at 13 tracks, New World Depression is a solo effort from the group and marks a true embodiment of the duo’s ethos and sonic evolution.

Khalid – “Adore U”

“Adore U” marks Khalid’s second single of 2024 and one of not too many standalone tracks that have surfaced since the singer’s debut mixtape dubbed Scenic Drive. With a music video on the way as well, might “Adore U” mark a more long-term Khalid return? Only time will tell.

Remi Wolf – “Motorcycle”

The latest in Remi Wolf’s return run of singles is “Motorcycle.” Lifted from her sophomore LP Big Ideas like “Toro,” “Alone in Miami” and “Cinderella,” “Motorcycle” is another dreamy delivery from Wolf, hearing her get back in her existentially reflective bag. Expect Big Ideas to drop everywhere on July 12.

Destroy Lonely – “LUV 4 YA”

Following a teaser at Coachella, Destroy Lonely has unveiled “LUV 4 YA.” Equipped with production from Lil 88, henny and Evertime “LUV 4 YA” is carried by hypnotic percussion and Lone’s smooth vocals over the cut’s catchy hook.

skaiwater – #gigi

skaiwater has unleashed their #gigi LP. When the Nottingham-based artist sat down with Hypebeast last week, they described the 13-cut album as “a mix of super left field sh*t and stuff that sounds just like the singles” – which consisted of “bleach,” the “light!” remix with Lil Nas X and 9lives, “run,” “rain,” and “wna torture me tn?” with KARRAHBOOO.

Normani – Dopamine

After years of dropping breadcrumbs about her long-form debut, Normani’s first solo offering has finally arrived. A moment many thought would never come, Dopamine’s global release was catalyzed by “1:59” with Gunna, which dropped back in April. The former Fifth Harmony songstress also enlists the likes of Starrah, James Blake and Cardi B throughout.
