This week’s lineup is led by Mick Jenkins x JID and Dominic Fike, who dropped the single “Smoke Break-Dance” and the album Sunburn, respectively. Also joining this selection are offerings from JELEEL!, Coi Leray with David Guetta, Black Sherif, Conway the Machine, KennyHoopla and Little Dragon.
Mick Jenkins x JID – “Smoke Break-Dance”
Mick Jenkins announces The Patience, his first full-length effort in two years, with the release of “Smoke Break-Dance” featuring JID. “As best I can be, I am a person who does everything within his power to change his situation. I think with some level of consistency, that behavior inevitably leads you to a point where you have to wait. A point where the things that now need to happen to move you forward are no longer in your control,” Jenkins shared in a statement. “I see this as a period of time in one’s journey, no matter the length, where the unseen things must take place; The muscles must tear and repair, the understanding of a concept coming to you in a moment completely devoid of artistic intention. It’s through these moments where I’ve found myself being the most frustrated with patience. And this body of work sounds like that frustration.”

Dominic Fike – Sunburn
Actor and musician Dominic Fike returns to music with his newest album Sunburn, which features a sole guest appearance from Weezer. “There’s something free and sexy about Florida and the sun, like tan lines on, and everyone’s just got barely any clothes on and we’re all running around just screaming profanities that the world probably wouldn’t be ready for,” he tells Apple Music of the album’s title. And a lot of the jokes in Florida, you can’t say in LA. You’re uncancelable here.”

KennyHoopla – BLINK AND YOU’LL MISS IT//
KennyHoopla delivers his newest project BLINK AND YOU’LL MISS IT//, which is executive produced in its entirety by Travis Barker.“This capsule is just a batch of songs I made to accompany and celebrate the blink tour! Some old ideas and some new. Just wanted to have fun and make music. There’s a lot of nostalgia, grief, and even hope mixed in,” he says in a statement. “BLINK AND YOU’LL MISS IT// just kind of represented this tour being a next level for me as an artist and how challenging it can be to live in the moment when the moment can feel unbelievable. Time flies and there’s no more time to waste. I’m also so honored to be putting out music with Travis for a second time, especially right before I join him on blink-182’s tour.”

Little Dragon – Slugs of Love
Sweden’s Little Dragon drops off their latest album Slugs of Love, which features guest appearance from Damon Albarn and JID . “We’ve been exploring different ways to collaborate and communicate. Dissolving patterns and making new ones. Nurturing our ability to curiously press down keys, to bang — sometimes hard sometimes gently — on different things, strumming strings, recording sounds and investigating the limits for how much or little a sound can be tweaked…” the group shares in a statement. “Together we have developed, replayed, danced to, cried and laughed to this music as it has evolved forwards, backwards, sideways and all around, but now finally as a complete masterpiece… This feels like our finest work yet. We are very proud.”
