Best New Tracks: A$AP Rocky, Big Sean, Travis Scott and More

As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s lineup is led by A$AP Rocky, Big Sean and Travis Scott, who each released the single “Tailor Swif” and the albums Better Me Than You and the Live From Atlanta/Chopped & Screwed versions of Days Before Rodeo, respectively. Also joining this selection are offerings from Montell Fish, Fireboy DML, Destroy Lonely, Oasis, Doechii, Tommy Richman and BNYX with Yeat.

A$AP Rocky – “Tailor Swif”

In a surprising move, A$AP Rocky officially releases the previously-leaked cut “Tailor Swif.” Known earlier as “Wetty,” the Hitkidd-produced track has no real connection with Taylor Swift but does offer a fun little play on her name in the chorus. The song was debuted live in 2022 and unfortunately experienced a leak in the days after.

Fireboy DML gets real personal in his self-titled studio album, adedamola. Featuring fellow Nigerian artists Lojay, Lagbaja, Seun Kuti and DJ SPINALL as well as GRAMMY nominee Jon Batiste, the record is described by the artist as “a culmination of what I’ve learned in the past couple of years, especially in 2023.” He continues, I’m learning that success is not always glamorous. It can be personal and relative to who you are and what matters to you. There are a few songs on the album that really talk about focusing on the things that matter—family, personal health, peace of mind, my relationship with God, and sharing love with the people that really matter to you.”
