Trinidad-born and Romford-raised rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer BERWYN has just dropped a new single titled “Bulletproof,” and it sees the artist express love for those closest to him.
Over the last couple of years, BERWYN has been keeping busy. Following the release of his 2020-released project DEMOTAPE/VEGA, the musician has gone on to receive accolades in the form of a top-three spot in the BBC’s Sound Of poll, while also grabbing a Mercury Prize shortlisting and an NME Award.
Now, BERWYN is following up on his 3450/Chasing Lights (Demo) release — that featured his rap-soul smash “Path To Satisfaction” — with his new record “Bulletproof.” The single is centered around memories he has of individuals from his past, while we also hear him focus on the people that have accompanied him on his journey so far, along with the hardships that can often entail. Commenting on the release of his new single, BERWYN said:
““Bulletproof” is less about me and more about the people around me. It’s another part of my personality. I’m willing to do anything for the people around me, it kinda revolves around that. It also highlights the dangers of my job and exposes me as an individual with troubles. Relationships are give-and-take, have my back and I’ll have yours because I’m not safe, I will need help and I’ll be more than willing to return the favor.”
