The Bentley Bentayga is hardly a shrinking violet. Still, its already roomy design isn’t enough for some clients, so the British marque has unveiled its latest offering — the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase.
Adding 180mm to the rear bodywork, Bentley now presents an SUV with a new and stronger-than-ever focus on wellness, comfort and luxury. Now measuring at over 5.3 meters long, the EWB version comes with a reconfigured rear seat set-up, sporting “a larger cabin space than any other luxury competitor” that can now comfortably house the new Bentley Airline Seat specification.
This application presents “22-ways of adjustment and world-firsts in a new auto climate sensing system and postural adjustment technology,” while also being capable of reclining by 40 degrees with a deployable footrest giving rear passengers the full first-class treatment.
Elsewhere, the EWB comes with Bentley Diamond Illumination, which finds the light emitted from inside the soft feel door trims. This helps to set the scene in the car when relaxing, but also adapts to however you want the car to feel. In terms of car feel, drivers will get updated tech such as all-wheel-steering to help it cope with that extra length and mass, a 48V active anti-roll control system, and more. Powering the EWB is the marque’s signature four-liter V8 that produces 542 BHP and 568 lb.ft of torque.
Take a look at the new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase above, and expect to see these on the road from Q4 2022.
