bbymutha is gearing up for her next chapter with the announcement of her forthcoming album, Sleep Paralysis.
Although the Chattanooga-born rapper has released a plethora of EPs including Muthaz Day 2, Muthuz Day 3, Free Brittnee, The Bastard Tape, Vol. 1, The Bastard Tapes, Vol. 2, The Bastard Tapes, Vol. 3 and more, Sleep Paralysis marks her second album. bbymutha’s debut album Muthaland was released back in 2020.
For the new album, bbymutha is continuing her affinity for reimagining what rap music can sound like, from her unorthodox lyricism to her production. In expanding her sound, the new album fuses beats and sounds from electronic and club producers like Bon Music Vision, Kilder, Foisey and more. With it, listeners will experience notes of industrial 808s and synths that are sure to add a new character to her sound.
In preparation for the project, bbymutha has dropped a new single entitled “go!” alongside announcing the Sleep Paralysis tour. The tour is set to kick off on April 17 in Washington D.C. before concluding on June 1 in Manchester, United Kingdom. With 25 dates, the tour is set to see cities like New York City, Boston, Montreal, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta and more.
