After five turbulent years of development, Bayonetta 3 is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, and PlatinumGames has now dropped an eight-minute look at its gameplay. Staying true to the first two games of the franchise, the combat mechanics are just as massive in scale and over the top.
You’ll have new abilities like Witch Time that slows everything down or Demon Masquerade, where Bayonetta transforms into a demon-like figure herself, granting her special moves and abilities. As for the storyline, Bayonetta 3 follows the titular protagonist as she leads her team of Viola, a witch-in-training, Umbra Witch Jeanne, and Luka, a journalist, in a fight against the Homunculi, which are described as man-made bio-weapons. You’ll be able to play as the other characters as well, and each will have their own skills, move sets, and abilities.
For fans of the franchise, Bayonetta 3 will arrive on the Nintendo Switch October 28. You can now pre-order the game over on the company’s website for $60 USD.
Enjoy 7+ minutes of bewitching over-the-top gameplay from #Bayonetta3!
