‘Battlefield 2042’ Drops New Trailer Announcing Open Beta Dates

After enduring several delays to its release date, EA has finally announced the open beta period for the long-awaited Battlefield 2042, dropping a trailer at the same time to give players a closer look at what to expect.

The overall period will take place between October 5–10, although the game itself will only be playable for two days for most. Preloads will begin on the first day where gamers will be able to download the beta version of the title on their respective platforms, followed by early access to the experience on October 6 and 7 when servers go live for those who have pre-ordered the game. Full open beta will then commence on October 8 and last till the morning of October 10 for everyone else. Luckily for those on next-gen platforms, the full 128-player mode will be available during the period.

As for the full game itself, Battlefield 2042 is now slated to launch globally on November 19 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The previous-gen consoles and PC versions will set you back $60 USD while the next-gen console iterations will cost $70 USD.

Elsewhere in gaming, Resident Evil is coming to VR for the Oculus Quest 2 next month.
