Bang & Olufsen has announced a new colorway of its award-winning EX true wireless earbuds, part of a new made-to-order program that’ll see some of the brand’s most popular products receive a unique makeover and a highly limited release.
The limited edition ‘lime green’ earbuds are the first drop from the “Atelier Editions” range, a new initiative from the brand’s studio in Struer, Denmark that will focus on bespoke creations dropping throughout 2023. Like the in-line versions, they feature 9.2mm neodymium drivers on both sides, adaptive active noise cancellation, and are IP57 rated making them rain and sweatproof (in fact, they’d be safe in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes, if for some reason that happened). They come with a wireless charging case and a battery life that can reach up to 20 hours of listening “at moderate volume”, and, unlike previous earbuds from the brand that used foam ear tips, the EX feature silicone tips that would be familiar to those of us who use AirPods. They also include gesture control on both the left and right bud through a highly-responsive, glass touch surface.
Founded in 1925, the Danish brand has always strived for sonic perfection through a luxury aesthetic — now, recognizing their consumers want for something unique, the new products are made to order only “and truly personal”, says Bang & Olufsen CEO Kristian Teär.
The Beoplay EX Atelier Editions in lime green is available to order now via the brand’s website — exclusively in Europe and North America – for two weeks only.
