Bandai Namco has just revealed a new Gundam game coming to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 named Mobile Suit: Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy.
Releasing an anime-styled teaser trailer along with the announcement, the new game is expected to be a sequel to the previous Battle Operation series, also developed specifically for PlayStation. The original game first launched back in 2012 as a free-to-play game and offered Mobile Suit battles between two teams of four to six players on either the Earth Federation or Zeon Forces. The game mainly focused on ground combat, with various vehicles and mechas at your disposal.
In 2018, Bandai Namco released a sequel aptly named Battle Operation 2, which built on the first game and added an all-new space battle feature. Infantry gained a bigger role in combat with more options to influence the battle, while different Mobile Suits also became customizable.
For now, information regarding Mobile Suit: Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy itself remains scarce, but Bandai Namco will be unveiling more about it on October 19, so fans of the franchise should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
Elsewhere in gaming, Rockstar has officially confirmed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
