The 2021 BAFTA Television Awards celebrates the best of British television. We have so much gratitude to incredible creators like Michaela Coel, the casts of Normal People, Sex Education, Small Axe, and the delightful Nicola Coughlan for lighting up our screens over the past year. And now, we are buzzing to see what these stars wear to accept their much-deserved awards.
The BAFTA red carpet was most excited to see Michaela Coel who is nominated for Leading Actress in I May Destroy You, while her series held a second standalone nomination as well. Coel arrived looking like a winner in a custom black-and-red Highway gown from Maximilian’s spring/summer 2021 collection. Golda Rosheuvel, known as Queen Charlotte on Bridgerton, also went for an on-trend black dress by a designer of the moment. Rosheuvel wore a Simone Rocha autumn/winter 2021 runway look that featured a smart white Oxford shirt layered under a black mesh, puff-sleeve dress with rose embroidery, and black patent brogue shoes. Fellow Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan also lit up the red carpet in a custom orange Valentino gown with rose pink mules, and bold cobalt eye make-up.
