Bad Bunny Makes an Appearance in Trailer for Prime Video’s Wrestling Biopic ‘Cassandro’

Bad Bunny Makes an Appearance in Trailer for Prime Video’s Wrestling Biopic ‘Cassandro’

Bad Bunny makes an appearance in the new trailer for Prime Video’s Cassandro. Directed by Roger Ross Williams, the biopic stars Gael García Bernal as famous gay wrestler Saúl Armendáriz, also known as Cassandro.

Set in the early 1980s, Cassandro lives in Texas but frequently competes in lucha libre matches in Mexico. After connecting with a new trainer, he pivots to competing as an exótico, a campy male wrestler who fights wearing feminine costumes.

Bad Bunny’s cameo sees him appear alongside Bernal. While the storyline of his character, Felipe, isn’t known, it’s possible he plays the potential love interest of Cassandro.

The singer is no stranger to wrestling, having competed in WWE a few times himself. He’s also been building out its acting resume as of late, most recently having appeared in last year’s action comedy Bullet Train.

Alongside Bernal and Bad Bunny, the main cast includes Roberta Colindrez, Perla De La Rosa, Joaquín Cosío and Raúl Castillo.
