Bad Bunny and Dominican-American band Aventura have released their new song “Volví,” produced by Alex Killer. Alongside the band’s frontman, Romeo Santos, the track sees Bunny straying from his typical trap stylings and incorporating the Latin genre of bachata into his sound.
The song arrives with a visual featuring Bunny and Aventura partying in a ritzy mansion and, as the crowd turns up, a sweet storyline of a lone couple dancing, finally alone together by the end of the night.
Bunny announced the collaboration on Instagram yesterday with stills from the video and a photo of him with the members of Aventura, which, in addition to Romeo, is made up of Lenny Santos, Henry Santos and Max Santos.
Romeo Santos also posted about the song, signifying that it marks the end of an era for the band. “Para cerrar este ciclo de Aventura de manera memorable,” he wrote in the caption, which translates to “To close this cycle of Aventura in a memorable way.” The upcoming tour for the band is set to be its last, kicking off on August 14 in Miami.
The influential band originally split up in 2011 to enable members to work on solo projects, but briefly reconciled in 2015 and 2016 for reunion tours before making its highly-anticipated comeback in 2019.
Bad Bunny has dropped several singles this year, including last month’s “De Museo” off of the F9 soundtrack, and produced Tommy Torres’ new album El Playlist de Anoche.
