Baby Keem and cousin Kendrick Lamar are reuniting for their newest collaboration, “Family Ties.”
The pgLang artist took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing a family photo featuring both Keem and Lamar. Everyone else’s eyes are covered with a black strip, similar to that of K-Dot’s good kid, m.A.A.d city album art, except for the two cousins. “family ties Thursday // 9pm PST,” Keem wrote as the caption. The forthcoming track featuring production from Cardo and was first previewed during a promotional clip that announced Keem’s addition to the pgLang roster.
Keem recently teamed up with Travis Scott for the single “durag activity” in April and dropped the solo cut “no sense” in March. The two 2021 releases follow 2020’s “hooligans” and “sons & critics,” but a release date for The Melodic Blue is yet to be confirmed.
In case you missed it, Kendrick Lamar announced that his upcoming album will be his last with Top Dawg Entertainment.
