Azealia Banks is showing her support for Donald Trump once again with footage of herself at a recent rally of his, drawing criticism.

Rap fans are once again talking about Azealia Banks — this time, due to her reaffirming her support for former President Donald Trump by attending one of his campaign rallies. The “212” rapper was present for Trump’s rally on Tuesday (July 9) in Doral, Florida. In the video that Banks posted on social media, she’s spotted talking, but it’s hard to make out what she’s saying due to Trump’s speech. “Trump invited the gang,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

The backlash was swift online to the artist’s posting. “I mean after she boiled that dead cat during Covid. Are we really surprised?” one commenter said while someone else added: “All she do is criticize Black folks anyway. Why would anyone be surprised?” Others also jabbed her after word got out about her receiving an eviction notice recently, which she denied.

Azealia Banks has expressed her support for Trump in the past. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, she wrote: Ok so, I think I’m ready to admit that I’m going to vote for Donald Trump,” she wrote on X (then Twitter) at the time. “I think Trump is the only one who truly has the balls to bust up big business.”

The Harlem, New York, native would go on to chastise the other presidential candidates: “Just because Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders say nice things about minorities doesn’t mean they actually mean them. Politicians have been saying ‘nice’ things about colored folks and we’ve still been getting f**ked.” She doubled down on that support in an interview with the Standard in 2023: “He’s just f**king funny,” she said at the time. “He’s been through how many bankruptcies? How many wives? How many television shows? Seriously, nothing can take him down.”
