Automobili Pininfarina marked the end of this year’s Monterey Car Week with the unveiling of a bespoke-commission Battista hyper GT, paying homage to the brand’s roots in Cambiano, Italy. This unique vehicle, dubbed “A Piece of Cambiano in California,” was presented as a tribute to the location where each handcrafted masterpiece is meticulously curated, reflecting the brand’s deep connection to its Italian heritage.
The Battista’s exterior features a distinctive yet subtle livery that incorporates a map of the Cambiano region and a schematic of the Battista production line, elegantly displayed on the underside of the active rear wing. This intricate design is echoed on the bespoke door plates, which bear the engravings “Where Everything Starts” and “Fatto Con Amore in Italia” (Made with Love in Italy), further emphasizing the vehicle’s connection to its birthplace.
In addition to its visual tributes, this Battista showcases the personalization options available to clients through Automobili Pininfarina’s bespoke program. The unique 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ends in 020, a nod to the Cambiano postal district, allowing the owner to infuse a personal touch into the vehicle’s identity. The vehicle’s interior features a first-of-its-kind monochrome “dogtooth” design, previously seen on the B95 barchetta show car, adding another layer of exclusivity to this one-of-a-kind hyper GT.
Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, expressed the team’s pride in the vehicle, stating, “This Battista holds a truly special place in the heart of everyone at Automobili Pininfarina. It proudly displays the unmatched sophistication and finesse of our design heritage.”
Following its reveal, the Battista was showcased at Automobili Pininfarina Newport Beach and will eventually join a private collection.
