Crunchyroll has announced that Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters Part 2, the anime’s long-awaited and highly-anticipated finale will premiere on the streaming platform at the same time as its Japan broadcast. Like Part 1, the animation is produced by studio MAPPA.
Last week, Pony Canyon shared the official trailer while also confirming the official release date for the 85-minute-long special to be November 4, 12 a.m. The episode will be streamable in its original Japanese dub with subtitles, and it’ll be available to watch across over 200 countries on Crunchyroll. An official dub for English and other languages has also been confirmed by Crunchyroll, although no release dates have been revealed as of yet.
Earlier this week, an announcement was unveiled on the Attack on Titan official website and on X, which included a note from mangaka, Hajime Isayama, which reads: “Thank you so much for your continued support over the past 10 years and since the first TV anime adaptation. The climax scene in this final was incredibly difficult to draw for me, so I was thinking, ‘MAPPA must have had a hard time with it.’ I honestly feel sorry for the studio, but I am looking forward to seeing how they tackled it. This time, per my request, I was able to implement a few tweaks on certain scenes. Please do watch till the end.”
