Aston Martin Unveils the Valhalla: a 1,064 HP Plug-In Hybrid

Aston Martin has revealed the full details of its mid-engined hybrid supercar, the Valhalla, limited to 999 units. At its core, the Valhalla boasts a formidable 1,064 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining an 816 hp 4L twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors. This setup delivers 811 lb-ft of torque and achieves 0-62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 217 mph. Advanced features like a bespoke 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and torque-vectoring front axle are designed to ensure precision handling.

Aston Martin has collaborated closely with its Formula 1 arm, Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), to optimize the Valhalla’s aerodynamics and materials. Active aerodynamics generate over 1,322 lbs of downforce, enhancing cornering and stability at speeds above 150 mph. Meanwhile, the carbon-fiber monocoque ensures structural rigidity while keeping the car’s dry weight at 3,648 lbs.

Notably, the Valhalla introduces a fresh aesthetic with forward-hinged dihedral doors, a sleek roof scoop and innovative features like active wings and concealed cooling ducts. Inside, the minimalist cockpit offers carbon-fiber seats and driver-focused displays, blending luxury with racing-inspired ergonomics.

According to CEO Adrian Hallmark, the Valhalla embodies Aston Martin’s future vision: “It delivers the most driver-focused, technologically advanced supercar, with true hypercar performance, yet remains enjoyable on the road.”

Production for the Valhalla is set to begin in Q2 2025.
