While most automakers seem to be focused on EV and hybrid vehicles, Aston Martin is making a contrasting move, through the introduction of a new V12 engine. This latest powerhouse comes in perpetuation and celebration of its 25-year legacy of V12-engineered flagships.
Notably, this most recent iteration is set to be featured in the upcoming Vanquish. This assumption comes from the fact that the automaker as much as said so in its official announcement and teaser video, stating that with the new V12, “all will be vanquished.”
The newly unveiled engine is a powerhouse of technology and design, boasting over 800 hp and an impressive 737 lb-ft of torque. This formidable combination reflects Aston Martin’s ambition to redefine ultra-luxury performance. A complete overhaul of the engine’s design has led to enhancements at every stage of the combustion process, ensuring peak performance and efficiency.
Key advancements include a reinforced cylinder block, reengineered cylinder heads and higher capacity turbochargers that promise faster response and increased power. These technical improvements are designed to optimize combustion as well as elevate the overall driving experience.
Roberto Fedeli, Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer, emphasized the engine’s significance, stating, “The V12 engine has always been a symbol of power and prestige. This new engine is not just an evolution, it’s a transformation that signals the dawn of a new V12 era.”
The engine is anticipated to make its debut in the new Vanquish later this year and will be available as a limited production release. At the time of writing, specific details on price and availability have not yet been shared.
