Arms dealer held with live cartridges in Cross River
The Nigeria Police Force says its investigation shows that Boko Haram, Ansaru and other terror groups are getting support from some Nigerians.

The police in Cross River State have paraded Cyprian Mbe (52) for allegedly dealing in arms.

He was arrested during a stop and search action by the police divisional patrol team in Etung Local Government Area.

Mbe, a native of Bashia in Boki council, was arrested at the weekend with 299 live cartridges concealed in a black bag.

Commissioner of Police, Abdulkadir Jimoh, who addressed reporters yesterday, said the suspect had been a gun runner and a promoter of communal wars in Etung.

Jimoh said the police was still investigating to get more information about the suspect’s dealings and ‘he would be charged to court afterwards’.
