Ariana Grande Releases First Solo Music Since 2020 With Comeback Anthem “yes, and?”

Ariana Grande Releases First Solo Music Since 2020 With Comeback Anthem "yes, and?"

Ariana Grande hasn’t put out solo music for a few years now, with her last studio album Positions having dropped in 2020. As of late, she’s been particularly occupied starring as Glinda in the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked.

Last month, Grande surprised fans by teasing a new song entitled “yes, and?” Today, she’s officially shared the track, along with an official music video.

Directed by Christian Breslauer, the video opens with a group of critics gathered in an elevator gossiping about the pop artist. “I miss the old Ari, you know, the singer?” one quips.

Another duo of critics discusses something they read about her on the internet, “therefore it must be true.”

The critics are seated in a warehouse-like room in front of a group of statues, which spontaneously shatter as Grande enters the scene.

“Now I’m so done with caring what you think / No I won’t hide underneath your own projections or change my most authentic life,” she sings. “Boy come on put your lipstick on / Come on and walk this way through the fire.”

She’s joined by a group of backup dancers as she performs throughout the room. As temperatures rise, the critics are left sweating.

It seems that Grande isn’t bothered by what others have to say. She’s also rumored to be working on her seventh studio LP, which some have said is titled Eternal Sunshine.

Watch the music video for Ariana Grande’s “yes, and?” and stream the track everywhere now.
