For Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Grande encouraged asking for help in a set of IG slides that also provided information to mental health and substance abuse resources, ranging from postpartum support to the Veterans Crisis Line to Black Mental Health Alliance, The Trevor Project and more.
“I so hope that this will be a helpful starting point and that you’ll be able to build space for this in your lives and continue!” she continued in the caption of her most recent post. “Healing is not linear or easy but you are worth the effort and time, i promise! thank you so much to @betterhelp and i can’t wait to do more work together.”
In June 2018, she opened up to British Vogue about the PTSD she experienced after the May 2017 bombing at her Manchester, England, concert, which she recently remembered on its fourth anniversary, that killed 22 people and injured nearly 1,000. The “No Tears Left to Cry” singer also discussed her battle with anxiety, saying, “I’ve always had anxiety. I’ve never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it, but when I got home from tour it was the most severe I think it’s ever been.”
