Modena-based coachbuilder ARES Design, which is most known for its restorations of the Porsche 964-gen 911 Turbo and the custom drop-top Tesla Model S, has put its hand to something more refined — delivering its take on the Porsche 992-gen 911 Targa.
It’s unclear whether ARES Design has used the Targa 4 or Targa 4S as its base, but either way, it has given the flat-six engine a mild tune to deliver an extra 60 HP, which partly comes thanks to a new sports exhaust system.
Aside from performance, ARES Design has done what it does best: perfection. To most, the 911 Targa is one of the most beautiful iterations available, littered with historical design features such as the Targa roof section and the huge rear glass covering, but for ARES Design this wasn’t enough. Its clean lines have been enhanced with a carbon fiber body kit that adds 8cm in the front and 4cm in the back, making the car look even squatter and stanced than before.
Finished in navy blue with a matching fabric roof covering alongside silver rims and accents, the 911 now features a completely overhauled interior that’s even more luxurious than Porsche’s own attempt. Using the highest quality leather possible, ARES Design wraps the interior in an orange-tan hue, before rounding it out with its own emblem on the steering wheel, headrests, and on the rear of the car in the form of a scriptive plaque.
