English rock band Arctic Monkeys has hit the road to promote its seventh studio album, The Car. The group’s extensive fan base has gathered worldwide to experience them in action and was surprised with several hit songs concealed for decades.
On May 29, Arctic Monkeys began their highly-anticipated UK stadium tour in Bristol. The four-man group brought life to the city’s Ashton Gate Stadium and played 21 songs from all previous records.
Lead vocalist Alex Turner opened the show with the first live performance of Mardy Bum in 10 years. The original album track was last played in 2007, while My Propeller also returned after nearly a decade off-stage. Bristol was blessed with several additional hits, including The View From The Afternoon, Fluorescent Adolescent, R U Mine?, and more.
The band will perform on 15 dates across the UK and Ireland, stopping in London, Dublin, Manchester, and more — with similar setlists expected at all destinations.
