Arcade Fire will return to Saturday Night Live on May 7. The band will perform as musical guests during the Benedict Cumberbatch-hosted episode. The upcoming SNL slot will mark the group’s fifth appearance on the show; they previously performed on the program in 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2018. Find the announcement below.
On Friday night (April 15), Arcade Fire played a headlining slot at Coachella 2022. The will release their new album WE on May 6, the day before their SNL appearance. The follow-up to 2017’s Everything Now was produced by Nigel Godrich, Win Butler, and Régine Chassagne. So far, Arcade Fire have shared lead single “The Lightning I, II,” along with a music video directed by Emily Kai Bock. Shortly after announcing WE, Will Butler revealed that he left the group after the recording of the new album.
