Apple Is Reportedly Planning To Launch M2 MacBook Pros in Early 2023

While Apple was rumored to be unveiling its MacBook Pros featuring the M2 chip before the end of 2022, it now appears that the company will hold off until early next year. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple will likely launch the 14-inch (356 mm) and 16-inch (406 mm) M2 MacBook Pros in tandem with the rollout of the macOS Ventura 13.3 update.

Gurman noted that “Apple has rarely launched new products in January or February during recent years, so I’d expect the new Macs to be announced by the first half of March.”

He cited that Apple has historically launched new Macs during the month of March, most recently with the Mac Studio desktop in March 2022.

Gurman also cited Apple’s latest earnings call, where CFO Luca Maestri said he anticipates sales revenue to decline in December as there won’t be any new MacBook Pros.

When the new MacBooks do eventually launch, they’ll more than likely retain the same design as the 2021 original, but will pack the cutting-edge M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets, boasting improvements in speed, graphics and more.

In other tech news, an Instagram outage is preventing some users from logging into their accounts.
