Apple could be rolling out its new M3 Macs as soon as this fall, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. In his latest Power On newsletter, the tech industry insider reported that we could expect a second launch following the yearly September unveiling of the new iPhone.
Gurman predicted that “October is too early for new high-end MacBook Pros or desktops, so the first beneficiaries of the new chip should be the next iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro.”
Earlier this year, he reported that Apple was draping up development on its M3 silicon. The fall launch would give both iMac and MacBook users options to shop the next-generation chip, which will reportedly offer greater performance, speed and efficiency.
While iPads typically also receive a new iteration in October, Gurman wrote that it seems too early for an M3 version, so users can likely expect that model to come out next year.
