The highly anticipated Venom: Let There Be Carnage is slated to hit theaters in the coming weeks, promising fans that it picks up right where the 2018 Venom left off.
Director Andy Serkis recently spoke to Comic Book to finally provide an answer to the often asked question of whether or not Venom and Spider-Man will reunite. He responds, “Look, that’s the question on everyone’s lips. They want to know if Venom is gonna meet Spider-Man, but personally, it’s never gonna happen. I’m only joking, of course, it’s gonna happen.”
Serkis implies that it will be a while before fans will see the reunion on the big screen. He adds, “Look, it depends when you want to get there and also, what the appetite is. If people want more Venom stories, then to jump straight to Spider-Man, you could be missing out on so many great supervillain characters in between now and then. So, in a way, by rushing to it, you might be closing the door.”
Venom: Let There Be Carnage hits theaters on October 1.
In other entertainment news, Idris Elba is set to return for Netflix’s Luther feature film.
