Andrew’s sell of Racecard No.1s produced a big profit at Musselburgh yesterday when the market made up at just 5 (originally set at 46-49) and he has three more recommended bets/trades for Thursday:

Horse Racing Betting Tips for Thursday November 4th

NEWBURY 2.30

Philip Hobbs does well with his hurdlers at Newbury and though the bulk of the profits have come in non-handicaps he does have a good record in these Pertemps Qualifiers, recording form figures this century of 2011410233F702 (3-14) for a profit of £29.25 thanks to 33-1 winner Fair Along. Given the amount of beaten horses who placed it could be worth buying his ONE FOR YOU with SpreadEx in the 50-25-10 race market.

Recommendation: Back ONE FOR YOU in Newbury 2.30

CHELMSFORD 4.55

LIVING LEGEND is forecast to start as the 11-4 favourite for this competitive 1m2f Class 2 handicap but a 7lb rise for his last-time-out Pontefract win could prove harsh, as he was allowed a very easy lead that day and might have been flattered. He faces tough rivals in the shape of INDEED and POWER OF STATES, both of whom are likely to leave recent turf form well behind now returning to the all-weather. Sell him in the SpreadEx 50-25-10 spread market or back the other pair in the fixed odds betting.

Recommendation: Oppose LIVING LEGEND in Chelmsford 4.55

CHELMSFORD 5.25

There’s a lot of early speed among the high-drawn runners in this 5f handicap and it’s possible that we could be in a for a pace collapse, as the front-runners may have to go off too hard to get a good position from their wide draws. This could be set up for low-drawn stalker and the one I like is SHOW ME A SUNSET, who has the best of the draw in stall 1. His sole win for current trainer Robert Cowell came over 6f on Tapeta but he’s bred to do better on Polytrack and he’s 1lb lower than when a close second over 6f here for James Fanshawe on his latest course visit. The drop to 5f is a slight concern but the likely strong pace will compensate. Back him each-way in the SpreadEx fixed odds betting or buy him on the spreads in the 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Back SHOW ME A SUNSET in Chelmsford 5.25
