There’s plenty of early pace in this two-mile mares’ hurdle and the race could be set up nicely for Alan King’s HER INDOORS. The four-year-old has only had three runs in mares’ only company over hurdles, finishing second at 18-1 at Ayr on her jumps debut (doing best of those to come from off the pace) and then winning comfortably at Doncaster and Cheltenham. She’s fit from a spin on the Flat at Nottingham a few weeks ago and her stable is in excellent form. At the time of writing she was available at 5-1 in the fixed odds betting with SpreadEx.

NEWMARKET 2.23
STATE OCCASION was only third when 9-2 favourite for a hot Class 2 fillies’ handicap here last time but raced prominently into the headwind and probably failed to stay the 1m2f trip. Dropping back a mile will help, as will the drying ground and she’s also down in grade to Class 3 level. She can be supported in the SpreadEx fixed odds betting at around the 3-1 mark or bought in the 50-25-10 market on the spreads.
