After a five-plus year hiatus, Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge are joining forces once again. The artist and producer will return with their neo soul duo project NxWorries.
NxWorries has only put out one project following its formation, a full-length studio LP entitled Yes Lawd! in 2016. Released via Stones Throw Records, the 19-song album converged hip-hop, soul and funk influences in a sprawling, ambitious effort.
Since then, .Paak has been busy with both solo work, including back-to-back albums in 2018 and 2019, in addition to his collaboration with Bruno Mars, 70s-inspired superduo Silk Sonic.
Knxwledge, the moniker of Glen Boothe, meanwhile, dropped his sophomore album for Stones Throw, 1988, and has continued to produce for hip-hop’s heavy hitters including Westside Gunn, Action Bronson, Mach-Hommy and more.
NxWorries will officially resume later this afternoon, October 19, with its first track in six years, “Where I Go” featuring H.E.R.
In other music news, Bryson Tiller has delivered a music video for his Ying Yang Twins-sampling track “Outside.”
