Aminé is having a brat summer. While bumping the album of the summer on a seaside vacation in Italy (as one Charli XCX fan does), the Oregon-born singer-songwriter put together his own take on the pop titan’s hit track “360.” His version, titled “360.5,” nods to his own mixtapes, TWOPOINTFIVE and ONEPOINTFIVE, that were released in between his full-length albums—and it’s filled with comical riffs on Charli’s original bars.
“Look, it’s a brat summer/ Grab a drink or a cig or the marijuana/ I like petite girls and I like the big bumpers/ Turn around throw it back I love a thotiana,” he raps on Charli’s signature beat. “Look if AG made it Aminé persuaded/ I’m off a lot of s***/ Yes I’m faded.”
The remix arrives with a music video, which sees Aminé throwing himself a solo party on a cliffside balcony in Ischia — with brat green swim trunks, clubby sunglasses and a glass of red wine in tow. “I was in ischia, italy having a brat summer on God,” he wrote in the caption of the video.
The witty track arrives ahead of the inaugural edition of Aminé’s The Best Day Ever festival, which is slated to take place in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, on August 10 and 11 with headliners KAYTRANADA, Toro y Moi, Ravyn Lenae, Karrahboo, BADBADNOTGOOD and more.
