New Aminé is officially on the way. After unveiling “Familiar” a few weeks back, the Portland rapper has confirmed the release information for his third studio album 13 Months of Sunshine.
Dropping everywhere on Friday, May 16, 13 Months of Sunshine will arrive just a little less than two years after the rapper’s joint venture with KAYTRANADA, KAYTRAMINÉ, and almost four years since his last solo studio LP, TWOPOINTFIVE, in November of 2021.
The below photo signals the album’s official cover art, which contributes to the project’s overall aesthetic which, per a press release, pays homage to “the marketing campaign that Ethiopia employed through the 60’s and 70’s to entice Western visitors.”
While a tracklist remains unconfirmed at the time of writing, “Familiar” is set to appear somewhere on the album’s tracklist.
Aminé has also shared a plethora of photos on Instagram from the album’s creation process, building out a serene sanctuary space in Mexico City to write and produce the project.
Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on 13 Days of Sunshine as they become available.
