The team behind Netflix‘s 2017 hit American Vandal is now back together again for a brand new mockumentary revolving around a fictional League of Legends esports team for Paramount+. Titled Players, the new mockumentary reunites Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, a duo best known for their work on the two seasons of American Vandal.
The two have now shifted their focus onto the world of esports, working with Riot Games to create a series following the journey of the fictional League of Legends team “Fugitive: and its lead player Creamcheese, who sets his eyes on winning a championship follow years and years of struggling losses. To help him on the endeavor, the team brings in a new prodigy by the gamer tag of Organizm, but things get heated up between the new recruit and Creamcheese, causing all kinds of troubles within Fugitive as they set off to achieve their biggest victory to date.
For fans of esports and League of Legends, Players will hit Paramount+ on June 16. Check out the trailer above while you wait for its release.
