The very special episode will open with judge Lionel Richie’s performance of his soaring 1985 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 ballad “Say You, Say Me” from Taylor Hackford’s Russian ballet defection drama White Nights.
Monday’s (April 19) episode will mark the first time 10 of last year’s lucky Idol finalists will be performing in the Idol dome at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, since they had to sing from their homes in 2020 because of COVID restrictions; the performers will be vying for a chance to join this season’s top 10.
