There is this young newcomer that I’d like to bring your attention to. Going by the name Amelie Lucille, this talented 15-year-old singer-songwriter introduced herself last year with a self-titled debut album.
Last Friday, the New York native returned with “See me”, a deeply emotional and cathartic piece. It is only Lucille’s second single.
“I wrote ‘See me’ as a way to reach out to people that are in a toxic relationships, whether it is with a partner, friend, or family,” Lucille says. “The song is written as a ‘cry for help. My goal is to always be sincere in my lyrics and therefore hopefully relatable to the listeners. ‘See me’ was a release, and I hope it feels like that for others too.“
