Amazon Music Increases Prices for Prime Members

Amazon has raised the prices across Amazon Music subscription plans. The streaming service, which launched in 2008, offers a music catalog accessible from a web browser, as well as apps for macOS, iOS, Windows, Android, FireOS, Alexa devices and even some cars and smart TVs.

Amazon Music’s single-device streaming plan has gone up by one dollar, raised from $3.99 USD per month to $4.99 USD per month. The Unlimited Individual Plan, granted to Amazon Prime members, at a discounted price, has also gone up by a dollar from $7.99 USD to $8.99 USD per month, or from $79 USD to $89 USD per year.

Amazon Prime Music, a simplified version of the company’s streaming service, will still be included at no additional cost for those with Prime memberships.

The updated pricing plan will go into effect next month on May 5. Users with a trial subscription or currently using a promotional offer will continue to receive the discounted rate for the remainder of that period. Once the period is up, Amazon will continue to offer the original pricing plan for one billing cycle, after which the new pricing will take effect.

In other music news, Lil Baby reflected on his career in two new tracks, “Right On” and “In A Minute.”
