Alt K-Pop Collective Balming Tiger Drops 2-Track Music Video for “Buriburi,” “Pigeon and Plastic”

Alt K-Pop Collective Balming Tiger Drops 2-Track Music Video for "Buriburi," "Pigeon and Plastic"

Balming Tiger is commemorating the release of their debut album, January Never Dies, with a new music video. True to the K-pop group’s alternative approach to the genre and to the music industry more broadly, the visual serves to accompany not one, but two of the LP’s songs, “Buriburi” and “Pigeon and Plastic.”

At five minutes, the video was directed by Balming Tiger’s Jan’Qui and recorded in one take. The collective is seen performing their songs from an apartment in Thailand amid the group’s recent world tour. Members of the group take turns wildly dancing around the property, from swaying in front of the pool to flopping on the bed and crawling on the floor.

San Yawn produced both of the songs, teaming up with Unsinkable for “Buriburi” and bj wnjn for “Pigeon and Plastic.”

Balming Tiger was formed in Seoul in 2018 as a wholly self-sufficient music collective. The genre-defying group is made up of rappers, singers, writers, producers and directors. January Never Dies arrived in October 2023 as its first full-length studio album.
