KAWS:HOLIDAY continues on a world tour, this time making Indonesia its home. AllRightsReserves presents the famous KAWS “Accomplice” character at the Prambanan temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The exhibit marks the 10th rendition of the KAWS:HOLIDAY.
The worldwide exhibit tour first launched in 2018 and initially began in Seoul before making its way to Taipei, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bristol, Singapore, Changbai Mountain, Melbourne and even in the stratosphere. The world-renowned contemporary artist continues to partner with its long-time collaborator ARR to bring the monumental sculpture to Indonesia’s largest Hind temple complex.
The Prambanan was made an UNESCO World Heritage in 1991 and are adorned with some of the most stone relief sculptures in the world. A temple dedicated to Hindu divinities, the site boasts a pinnacle of 47 meters in height. The 45-meter long KAWS piece presented at the site will be the largest sculpture by the artist to date. In celebration of the KAWS:HOLIDAY exhibit in Indonesia, ARR has also collaborated with the artist to launch a line of exclusive collectibles for the occasion. the rare “ACCOMPLICE” pieces include an 11.5-inch vinyl figure in black and special edition pink. The collection is available for sale at DDT Store starting at 11 p.m. EST on August 17 and will begin shipping in September this year. All items are first-come first-served while stocks last.
