All five Culkin brothers star in animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy

All five Culkin brothers star in animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy

For the first time ever, all five Culkin brothers will appear in the same project when Kieran Culkin is joined by Macaulay, Rory, Christian, and Shane for Prime Video’s upcoming animated series, The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy.

In a clip premiered by Entertainment Weekly, Kieran Culkin’s Dr. Plowp and his colleague Dr. Sleech (Stephanie Hsu) are surprised by his siblings, who “share everything, including digestive salivas.” Their presence puts tremendous pressure on the burgeoning relationship, as the Plowps overwhelm Dr. Sleech with their inquisitive questions.

So who can blame Dr. Sleech when she runs far away from the brothers and their required “11 hours of focused intimacy per day” of family time by escaping down a garbage chute? Watch the preview here, and check out the official trailer below.

The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy follows Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak — aliens, best friends, and intergalactically renowned surgeons — as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs,” reads the official logline. “In Season One, doctors Sleech and Klak take on a highly dangerous and potentially groundbreaking case and, in doing so, put existence itself in jeopardy. Although considering their dismal personal lives, oblivion might be an improvement.”

Cirocco Dunlap (Russian Doll) created and wrote the animated series. The cast also features Keke Palmer, Sam Smith, Maya Rudolph, and Natasha Lyonne, who will be joined by guest stars including Tracee Ellis Ross, Bowen Yang, Abbi Jacobson, and John Waters.

All eight episodes premiere February 23rd on Prime Video. New subscribers can sign up now for a 30-day free trial.
