Since the release of Certified Lover Boy, Drake has continuously experienced explosive results on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Particularly this week, Drake has seen all 21 tracks from his new album debut in the top 40. In another amazing feat, the Toronto artist has secured nine of the 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10.
With Certified Lover Boy launching at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 613,000 equivalent album units, the album has garnered the largest weekly sum for an album in over a year. According to Billboard, this feat leads Drake to become the eighth artist with 10 or more No. 1 songs in the history of the chart.
“Way 2 Sexy” featuring Future and Young Thug debuts at the top spot, now marking the 52nd week Drake has reigned. In the 63-year history of the Hot 100 list, this is only the second time an artist has had all 21 titles on the top 40 simultaneously. Both of these instances belong to Drake as his first 21 charted titles occurred in 2019 for his Scorpion album. This week also marks the fifth week that Drake has had at least 21 songs on the Hot 100 list in a single week.
Elsewhere in the ongoing Drake and Kanye West feud, Ye reportedly wants a VERZUZ battle with The Boy.
