adidas Originals has teased more information on its forthcoming entrance into the metaverse alongside Bored Ape Yacht Club, Pixel Vault’s Punks Comic and crypto investor Gmoney.

The company on Thursday shared a video to Twitter featuring three figures referencing iconography from the aforementioned entities soaring through the sky towards adidas’ logo, with the caption “It’s time to enter a world of limitless possibilities.”

Additionally, the brand posted a new profile picture to Twitter, which features a signature Bored Ape cartoon wearing adidas Originals clothing stamped with Pixel Vault’s Punks Comic logo and Gmoney’s iconography.

In an article posted to the adidas mobile app, the team behind the initiative released the following statement: “This autumn, adidas, known for celebrating ideas at the bleeding edge of originality, it settling in at the frontier of creativity: The Metaverse. Our goal there? To see every one of its inhabitants thrive. The Metaverse is where anyone can express their most original ideas and be their most authentic selves, in whatever form they might take. And thanks to the blockchain [and NFTs], those pioneers can own a piece of what they create.”

Earlier this week, each collaborator took to Instagram to share sneak peek imagery at the collaboration, though they did not share any further details about what to expect from the crossover. At the time of writing, adidas has not disclosed a release date for its forthcoming debut in the metaverse.
