ACM Awards co-hosts Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks hope to unify with show

Country hitmakers went from the Music City of Nashville to the Lone Star State for the Academy of Country Music Awards, where superstars Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks hosted the festivities that were streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Lainey Wilson and Hardy entered the night as the leading nominees, and ended up taking home awards including album of the year (Wilson’s “Bell Bottom Country”) and music event of the year for their anti-domestic violence song “Wait in the Truck.” Chris Stapleton took home entertainer of the year, while Wilson was named female artist of the year and Morgan Wallen was male artist of the year.
