Academy of Country Music Launches ACM:The Hub Site With Artist Chats & At-Home Performances

Academy of Country Music Launches ACM:The Hub Site With Artist Chats & At-Home Performances

The site features new series “ACM Wine Down Wednesday” and “The ACM Weekly.”

The Academy of Country Music has launched a new website called ACM: The Hub, which features artist conversations, at-home acoustic performances, access to artist merchandise and weekly ACM-curated playlists.

ACM: The Hub was developed in response to COVID-19 freezing the concert and festival world. When the academy recognized that artists were turning to live performances via web streams to stay connected with their fans, it developed The Hub to curate artist content in one place.

“The academy’s goal is to help fans and artists connect during these quarantined times [in which there are] no live shows.” said Damon Whiteside, the academy’s CEO. “We want to provide fans with a dedicated place to see the best of country music content, including a comprehensive fan calendar featuring upcoming live streams, events, new music, merchandise and playlists. This will allow fans to easily follow all their favorite artists and discover live virtual and other opportunities.”

The site features new series ACM Wine Down Wednesday, which launched earlier in July, and The ACM Weekly, which is set to premiere on July 29.

ACM Wine Down Wednesday kicked off earlier in July with Carly Pearce and Tenille Townes. The five-week “happy hour” virtual series spotlights rising female artists, with artist performances and conversations. The third episode, featuring Lainey Wilson, airs Wednesday (July 22) at 6 p.m. CST. The series, presented by 1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wine, will continue through Aug. 5 with episodes featuring Maddie & Tae and MacKenzie Porter.

“The ACM Weekly” series will stream Wednesday evenings. The show will feature several artist performances in each 20- to 40-minute episode.

The comprehensive fan calendar includes details on artist livestreams, performances, new music and more.

Additionally, the ACM provides weekly playlists including ACM: New Music Friday and ACM Country Backyard BBQ. Playlists are updated weekly on The Hub and are are available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.

For weekly updates on The Hub, fans can sign up for the free ACM A-List.

Fans can purchase an exclusive shirt featuring the Nashville skyline, commemorating the 55th ACM Awards in Nashville, which is set for Wednesday, Sept. 16 on CBS. The shirt will be available for pre-sale through Aug. 17. Proceeds from the pre-sale will go to the ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund, which aids people in the country music industry who are experiencing a financial crisis as a result of the pandemic.
