Black Mirror viewers have been waiting for season six of the show for the past few years now. The fifth season of the sci-fi anthology series debuted in 2019 and was a short one at that, clocking in at just three episodes.
Fans thankfully won’t have to wait much longer for their next dose of Charlie Brooker’s eerie Netflix series, which will be slightly longer at five episodes. Ahead of its premiere on the streamer on June 15, an official trailer is out for Black Mirror season six.
One of the more meta plotlines of an episode seems to be a Netflix show mirroring a woman’s (played by Annie Murphy) real life events, being updated on a daily basis.
Alongside Schitt’s Creek’s Murphy, the star-studded cast includes Aaron Paul, Anjana Vasan, Auden Thornton, Ben Barnes, Clara Rugaard, Daniel Portman, Danny Ramirez, Himesh Patel, John Hannah, Josh Hartnett and Kate Mara. Also appearing in the season is Michael Cera, Monica Dolan, Myha’la Herrold, Paapa Essiedu, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek Pinault, Samuel Blenkin and Zazie Beetz.
“Twisted tales that span eras — and terrors — deliver a myriad of surprises in this game-changing anthology series’ most unpredictable season yet,” the show’s description reads.
