A$AP Rocky premiered a new cut in Paris over the weekend backed by a full live orchestra. During Rocky’s performance at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes, the rapper debuted a bouncy new single supposedly dubbed “Whiskey,” which comes complete with a Westside Gunn outro.
“What do you expect? / We don’t work, there’s no regrets / Only wish the best for you / Feelin’ like, you ain’t feelin’ like (Really that n****) / Kill the hype, b****, don’t kill the mic / I fear that they might kill you / Got me feelin’ nice, time to kill the lights,” he asserts on the first verse.
“Tryna get high as we can get and that’s how we exist / They never play like they overhear the kid, read his lips / How to be a pimp, uh / How to be legit,” he delivers, as the orchestra cathartically builds up to a close and the Griselda rapper’s signature staccato surfaces.
The audience cheers as Rocky raises his glass, and Gunn’s “boo-boo-boo-boom” wraps the performance.
